These broom floor lights are absolutely the coolest thing I’ve seen in a while.  They are done by YL and from the site I think you can order them from him (finger crossies that they are not horribly expensive……).  I’m pretty sure my family thinks some of the things I buy for the house are really odd – can you imagine explaining “hey mom, just ordered some new lamps from the Netherlands today.  They’re really beautiful, you just lean them up against the wall and they look like a broom….. …

 
Aren’t these the greatest blinds?  They are made by SurfaceView which has tons of really cool image blinds but I sort of have that “I could make this” feeling with them.  Remember that stencil book I got?  Could I use it to make something like this?

How are the Dutch coming up with such clever lighting lately? Aren’t these great? Studio Mango has some really great product designs on their site and their crew looks like a really fun group to work with. Check them out.

It looks like sushi, but it’s natural ice cream Sooshi. On the outside roll part, Sooshi has a green apple flavored strip. Rice is replaced with vanilla or fruit ice cream, and the center’s is lemon or apricot.

Wow, something about these blankets and pillows is just amazing! It’s like western blankets with modern colors from the Netherlands group Scholten and Baijings. Since these are incredibly expensive, I’m going to try to dig up a cheaper stateside version (they’d look great in a home that’s mostly white).

Lisa Widén and Anna Irinarchos are Swedish designers that are making some very cool things under the name Wis design. When I first saw it, I though they were from Wisconsin…..
