Is Caffeine Crucial For Strategy? Coffee Giveaway.
I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffee. ~Carly Simon
Anyone who has been reading this blog for any amount of time or has had the unfortunate experience of being on a trip with me where the only brew available is the gas station variety knows that I love good coffee. I’ve got sort of an embarrassing number of posts about it.
I collect coffee cups and choose the perfect one every morning. When I moved I had two full and impressively heavy cardboard boxes full of them. Ok, so you get it, I have a problem.
Anyway, when I met Dave from SafariCup we talked for about an hour about everything from coffee chains to coffee cups to my secret fear that I was becoming a coffee snob. He asked me if I was doing the ‘pour over’ method every morning and when I said no he told me I had a long way to go before I became a real coffee snob. phew.
Dave also sent me some coffee to try. I tasted it and it’s really, really good. So if you’re the type that needs a new kind of coffee every few weeks while you create strategy or think up awesome ideas, I’m giving some Safari Cup Coffee away.
Tell me in the comments what your favorite coffee mug is and where you got it. I’ll choose a random winner next week.

My fav coffee mug is the uber-lopsided mug I made back in 9th grade art class. My mom thought it was an ashtray. That’s how uncoffee mug it looked
What it lacked in eye appeal I made up for in cleverness. You could only drink about 6 oz. and only from one side. It had a “peephole” that allowed the drinker to see through as they drank. Cool, right?
my cousin (who was a sister to me) went to school…. hopefully the link works (she’s no longer with us…i’m 28, she’s been gone for a while, but she gave me this in HS and i drink from it daily)

My cheap travel mug that I bought when I first moved to Denver. You know, one of those plastic ones that look like a paper cup to-do cup that you would get at a coffee shop. I didn’t have my own place or my own stuff and it was the ONLY cup I had for a good month. Now that I’ve completely moved and have all of my stuff here, I still use it every single day.
my fav mug is my qatar starbucks mug my husband got on his deployment!
My favorite mug is ridiculous. It has been in the family for years and none of us even know how it even got there. It is quite ugly, very old school (70s) brown pottery but I love it because it is BIG! We used to fight for it at the holidays and I pretty sure my sister and I came to blows over it a few years ago. I snuck it out a few years ago and it is the only mug I will use.
Back during my college days, I worked at a handmade crafts shop in Boston called Whippoorwill Crafts. We sold things that people didn’t need… but which were certainly pretty. I started a kaleidoscope collection while working there, and also developed a thing for art jewelry. And I coveted the Bill Campbell pottery.
Bill Campbell is a potter from PA, and I loved the milky white swirls in the deep blue of his glaze. Being a college student, I couldn’t afford much more than one of his mugs.
I have multiple cabinets filled with mugs, but I’ll still use this one day after day after day after… I often don’t even rinse out the errant grinds. My husband says I’m gross. I don’t dispute it.
My favorite coffee mug is my pretty floral mug from the Liberty of London for Target line. The pink and orange flowers on it are so lovely to look at while I enjoy my coffee!
My favorite coffee mug is a scrabble one I got. I LOVE SCRABBLE!!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAY!
Congrats Brent!! You beat me to it, but you were the randomly chosen winner
I’m excited to send you your coffee. Don’t worry, I’m going to do some more coffee giveaways, I know this is a coffee crowd and I want to do my part in keeping our creative brains caffeinated!
My favorite one is paper thin (does anyone else like really thin cups?) from a great holiday in Bermuda…long ago.
