Things For Friday Funrise!

25 June 2010 One Comment

You ever have 5 weekends in a row all planned out down to the minute and suddenly find yourself with one that’s deliciously unplanned?  That’s this weekend!  I’m going to try out a new recipe, head to the Farmer’s Market where I can just browse and get started on my new project.

I think it’s so interesting that “unplug” projects like these are gaining force.  This one helps you start by turning off your phone.  Truthfully, I just hate it when you’re telling someone a story and they are checking their phone (I’m guilty too but since I saw this I’ve been trying to be better.

This pic just reads my mind:

I’m thinking of planning a trip to learn something (like French or how to taste wine) and came across this trip to teach women to surf!

These vases were designed so that they look like they’ve been sketched.

It was only a matter of time before the lunch trucks started carrying clothing as well.    Check out Cookies N Cream for hipster stuff.

Audioo.com – a voicemail hall of shame.  This is one of my favorites “because the longer these boxes sit here… I think… I’m not sure because I’m just working for the U. P. S. But ummm, I think there’s a ferret in there.”

Two project items that I have been really wanting are:

The Polaroid 300($90) and this Gocco.  The Gocco is like a little mini screen printer and will hopefully be how I’m making my new business cards.  They are kind of hard to find but at one point 1 in 3 Japanese households had one!

What kind of entrepreneur are you?

I want to order the Zappos CEO’s book “Delivering Happiness” Has anyone read it yet?

If you’re in New York and are a fan of bubbles – get to Bubble Battle NYC! If not, maybe stage your own.  Photo by Laurel Cabrera.

It’s always great when someone shows up to a party with a new game.  Your complete guide to lawn gaming in style.

I had been stalking this site a few months ago and recently came across it again – Fluo Kids has tons of french music!

Have a great weekend!
