If you haven’t been here on a Friday in a while, the Funrise is a collection of things to get you excited for the weekend (funrise, like sunrise is a word I read somewhere and liked).

This weekend, the New Jerseyite and I are headed to St. Louis to see my sister’s NEW house.  We’re going to do some serious grilling and then we’re going to a fancy dinner here and probably on the beer tour here ( I am not such a beer fan but I heard you get to see the Budweiser horses on the tour).  More on that next week.

You know how you can buy packets of caffeine in a tube if you’re a runner?  Well, a company named Wodka made them filled with vodka drinks.  You drink them out of the tube.  Not sure what to make of that.

I had to take my car in this week and they basically told me everything was broken. Neat.   This also happened to Grace this week and she wrote a great article about it.

Despite my car expenses, I’m really considering buying this Rebel Yell outfit.

Someone paid 2.63 million dollars at an auction to have lunch with Warren Buffet.  If you had unlimited funds who would you pay that kind of dough to hang out with?

Francophiles – you’re going to love this sweet blog.  I spent about 30 minutes pretending I was in Paris while reading it last night.

4Food is a burger joint that’s opening 11 locations in July and plans to make social media a huge part of it.  You can order from your Ipad and there’s all kinds of Twitter goodness going on in there.  Critics are divided as to whether it’s gimmicky or just the first of how fast food will be in the future.

Goodbye to the office and good riddance!  I agree with all of this, being the sort who gets more work done on my couch than in an office.

I joined Topguest this week (it’s a location based rewards program) so I’ll let you know more on that if it turns out to be great.
